Global representation data

Were building a more accurate and transparent view of colleague representation across HSBC to enable us to embrace our international footprint and set locally-relevant priorities that are compliant with local laws.

While we are making progress, it’s clear we have more work to do. Although we have a broadly even split of men and women at HSBC, we have more men than women in senior roles, and more than two-thirds of women who work at the bank are employed in junior roles.

We are building a deeper understanding of representation across the organisation by asking colleagues to voluntarily share their ethnicity, disability, gender identity and sexual orientation data where it is legally and culturally acceptable to do so.

All data and charts are based on our previous business structure and will be updated from 2025 disclosures onwards.

We’re taking action to ensure HSBC is an inclusive workplace where everyone can develop and progress.
