Over the course of eight to ten weeks, youll get to:

  • Work on key initiatives that help you understand how Finance maintains the stability of HSBC and supports our growth.
  • Experience first-hand how Finance helps to shape the success of HSBC, enabling us to make smarter decisions around resource allocation, strategic planning and more.
  • Play a key role in the production of insightful analysis and reports, collaborating with different teams and actively contributing to important programmes along the way.
  • Learn about managing a balance sheet and HSBC’s capital and liquidity, as well as how we build strategies for funding and forecasting.
  • Identify where your strengths lie and what interests you the most. This will help you identify the direction to take your career in within Treasury.
  • Develop the skills youll need for a versatile and fulfilling career that opens a world of opportunity.

Upon successful completion of your internship, you could have the opportunity to join our graduate programme the following year.

Requirements:
  • Available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing June 2025
  • Must graduate between December 2025 and June 2026
  • Obtained, or expected to achieve, a 3.2/4.0 cumulative GPA or equivalent 2.1 Degree from a recognised University (as appears on your official University Transcript or Degree Certificate)
  • Fluent in English. Mandarin and/or Cantonese advantageous but not essential
  • We will consider candidates that require visa sponsorship for this role

  • Fluent in English.  Mandarin and/or Cantonese advantageous but not essential
  • Legally permitted to work in Hong Kong SAR
  • Strong computing skills e.g. VBA, Python would be an advantage
