In Finance you’ll:

  • Partner with Global Businesses and Functions to provide commercial insight and expertise to help deliver HSBC’s strategy
  • Work on key initiatives that help you understand how Finance maintains the stability of HSBC and supports our growth
  • Experience first-hand how Finance helps to shape the success of HSBC, enabling us to make smarter decisions around resource allocation, strategic planning and more

In Treasury you’ll:

  • Make an impact through your role in safeguarding and optimising HSBC’s financial resources including Capital, Funding, Liquidity and Balance Sheet, and learn about how we ensure our continued resolvability
  • Work on key initiatives that help you understand how we build strategies and manage interest rate risk in the banking book through interest rate cycles
  • Collaborate with our global team of professionals across several businesses and entities to enhance HSBC’s financial returns

During your rotations you may work in teams including (but not limited to):

  • Markets Treasury, the market-facing arm of Global Treasury which manages liquid asset buffer, cash positions, interest rate risk, and executes wholesale funding requirements
  • Global Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB), which identifies and models interest rate risk, highlights opportunities and tradeoffs in a changing rate environment to support our strategy
  • Global Liquidity, which safeguards and optimises HSBC liquid resources, passing benefits on to the businesses and entities
  • Global Capital and Stress Testing, which designs, oversees and guides the deployment and efficiency of capital
  • Global Recovery and Resolution Planning, which oversees and ensures our continued resolvability

Requirements:
  • Available to work full time from July 2025 onwards
  • Obtained, or expected to achieve, a 3.2/4.0 cumulative GPA or equivalent 2.1 Degree from a recognised University (as appears on your official University Transcript or Degree Certificate)
  • Fluent in English.  Mandarin and/or Cantonese advantageous but not essential
  • Legally permitted to work in Hong Kong
  • Strong computing skills e.g. VBA, Python would be an advantage
