Jo Miyake
Interim CEO, Global Commercial Banking
Jo Miyake is the Interim Chief Executive Officer for HSBC Global Commercial Banking and will continue to serve as Chief Commercial Officer, based in Hong Kong.
As Interim CEO, he will chair the Global Commercial Banking Executive Committee, and assume responsibility for a business serving about 1.3 million business customers in over 50 markets.
He joined HSBC in 2021 and has more than 25 years of experience working in the financial industry. His career began at JPMorgan where over a 14-year period he held senior client facing roles in fixed income sales, structuring and principal investments. Following a move to Bank of America, he held numerous leadership roles across Global Transaction Services, Global Commodities and Global Credit and Distressed Trading.
Through these roles Jo has built a strong reputation and specialism in driving global growth and transformation.
Over his career, he has worked in London, New York, and Hong Kong.
Jo holds a Master of Science in physics from Imperial College, London and is married with a daughter and two sons.
