HSBC Singapore Student Work Placement (Polytechnic)

Get involved in challenging and interesting projects that will help you grow and develop your career in banking and financial services.

Our Student Work Placement Programme is a 20-24 week internship for final year polytechnic students. We will challenge you to use your talents and academic knowledge to add value to the bank and improve your professional and personal skills.

You will receive practical training to complement your academic studies gain hands on work experience in banking and financial services through opportunities across different lines of business within HSBC to take on responsibilities in a selection of interesting projects.

Based on your performance, you may be invited to join our Apprenticeship Programme upon completion of the Work Placement.

For: Singapore residents who are lawfully employable in Sinapore; Final year Polytechnic student from any discipline.
Duration: 20 to 24 weeks
Areas: Wealth and Personal Banking, Global Banking & Markets, Commercial Banking, Global Functions, and Digital Business Services

Who can apply

The programme is open to Singapore residents who are lawfully employable in Sinapore who meet the following requirements:

  • Final year Polytechnic student from any discipline
  • Available to work full time from September 2024 for a duration of 20 to 24 weeks
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good learning attitude and with a can-do personality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English
