Hong Kong Student Work Placement
Want to know what life and work are like in a leading global bank? This six-month work placement will give you the chance to gain hands-on experience while developing your knowledge of our business and the financial services industry as whole.

Over the course of six months, you’ll:
- Gain practical experience that will complement your academic studies
- Earn credit equivalencies that count towards your degree (subject to university requirements)
- Be given real responsibilities across a selection of interesting projects
- Use your talents and academic knowledge to add real value to our work
- Be valued as the individual you are, and for the unique contribution you bring
The business areas we hire into are:
- Commercial Banking, which includes Business Banking, Global Trade Solutions, Client Coverage and Wholesale Chief Operating Office
- Wealth and Personal Banking, which includes Retail Products and Distribution, Insurance, Digital Platform and Customer Proposition Management
- Global Functions, which includes Finance, Legal, Risk and Compliance
