Over the course of two years, youll get to:

  • Rotate across the relationship banking teams within Corporate and Institutional Banking and spend time in product teams
  • Work with other teams like Trade Finance, Cash Management, Capital Markets Investment Banking, and Markets and Securities Services, managing client relationships and conducting analysis on profitability, risks and other factors involved in transactions
  • Support relationship bankers and broader coverage teams across products and geographies, and work with product partners and other HSBC functions such as Legal, Credit, and Risk
  • Take responsibility for researching and understanding clients for the purposes of developing business and managing risk
  • Learn how we incorporate Environmental, Social and Governance considerations into our client solutions, ranging from sustainable supply chains to raising green bonds
  • Create client presentations for strategic meetings and pitches, prepare credit papers, analyse client information, support strategic reviews and get involved in client planning
  • Make the most of meaningful development opportunities, focused on skills and tailored to the role you may be interested in when you complete the programme

Requirements:
  • Available to work full time from July 2025 onwards
  • Obtained, or expected to achieve, a 3.0 out of 4.0 GPA if you are studying in mainland China or a 2:1 or equivalent degree if you are studying outside of mainland China (as appears on your official University Transcript or Degree Certificate)
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Legally permitted to work in mainland China
